What You’ll need?

Good planning, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills;
Knowledge of company processes, company instructions, and quality requirements to contribute to airworthiness and contractual requirements;
Working knowledge of gas turbine/accessory design theory, basic back-shop practices, and basic gas turbine metallurgy; familiarity with engine manuals;
Working knowledge in a company operating system environment;
Strong software skills are required for the use of SA systems and administrative procedures.
You demonstrate a strong ability to work in a close team environment.

Wat ga je doen?
The Repair Develop Engineer provides engineering support to the business unit for developing new or improved repair methods for F135 components and research on improving existing repair methods of gas-turbine engines and its processes. Ensures compliance to relevant airworthiness and contractual requirements.
Accountabilities
Provides engineering support to operations to assist with the disassembly, inspection, repair and assembly process of gas-turbine engines;
Formulate and develop (long-term) Repair Development projects aimed at introducing and supervising new repairs and improvement proposals, preparing technical documents and work instructions/procedures and supervising FAI;
– Identify components for future repair development based on scrap rates and cost of parts;
– Identify applicability of existing book repairs not currently being performed;
Creates & develops work instructions and writes technical reports / proposals with factual formats and conclusions;
Preparation of a set of requirements for new repairs (Capability check. Required people, materials, resources and methods. Cost/benefit analysis repair) and resolving any deficiency;
Recognizes and understands flight/product safety critical parts and processes;
Identifies and implements continuous improvement projects to accomplish production objectives;
Carries out special projects as assigned.
